YOU ARE A CHILD AND WONDERFUL CREATION BY GOD (PART-1)

‘You are not your own’ 1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJ

Today’s Insight

Two people rock up outside a house. One says ‘This is my house’. The other replies ‘How come?’ The first one says ‘For three reasons. I built it. I paid for it. I live in it.’ For the next three days, we’re looking at three claims God has on your life.

The first claim: Creation (‘I built it’), We usually think of this from the point of view that, if God made you, it means you’re designed, you’re hand-crafted, into a beautiful, gifted, valuable child of His. That’s right, but today we’re looking at it from a different angle… If God made you, that means you belong to Him. So…?

God cares for you not just because He took a shine to you, but because He made the shine that is you. You belong to Him, in a way that should both empower you, and also make you stop and think ‘What am I doing for Him?’ Even before we look at Jesus’ sacrifice for you (tune in tomorrow), the very fact that He created you means that ‘you are not your own… therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s’ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJ).

Don’t get us wrong, this is no guilt-trip. We’re saying: if God made you, and God called you His, then He knows best what you’re for. He knows the plans, the purposes and the abilities that He gave to you. He knows the problems that only you can solve. If you know that you belong to God, you have status, and you have purpose.

Application: What difference does knowing that ‘you are not your own’ make to the way you will act today? Think about it as you go about your day. See what happens in your interactions?

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for creating me and make me as your Child and heir of the whole universe. Lord thank you for your Word as you have said in John 1:12, those who received Him he gave the right to become children of God of born of the flesh but of your Spirit Lord. Thank you that I am wonderful master piece and you created for a purpose in this world and not just occupy some space here but you have an assignment to me Lord that no one can do but me only Lord. Lord for going with me even through difficulties and trials you are with me Lord because I am your child. Lord thank you for this privilege for being a member of God’s family and allow me to walk Lord worthy of your calling for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Seminars and make God first place in your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life also.
