Sparrows (Part-3)
‘The sparrow has found a home…a place near your altar…’ Psalm 84:3 NIV
Today’s Insight
A lost sparrow. The hit TV series Lost was about a plane crashing on a remote island and the survivors rebuilding their lives amidst the wreckage. The secret of the show’s success was that we could all relate to it. We’ve lost marriages, businesses, homes, self-worth, security and a lot of other things.
But Jesus came to ‘…seek and to save that which was lost’ (Luke 19:10 AMP). Unlike us, Jesus didn’t see people as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, but as ‘lost’. He knew they’d lost their way, lost their values, lost their relationships, lost their ability to cope, lost their faith, and in some cases lost their reason to live. And He sought them out: like the woman at the well with five divorces and a live-in boyfriend; like the man who lay at the Pool of Bethesda for 38 years, chronically ill, noticed by no one; like Mary who wept at the tomb of the One she loved most.
If you’re lost today, you can have a personal audience with the Lord. ‘The sparrow has found a home…where she may lay her young – even Your altars, O Lord of Hosts…Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You’ (Psalm 84:3-4 NKJV). Today you can ‘come home’ to God! You can build your nest and raise your family in the shelter of His protection. You can feel safe with Him. As you bow in worship, He will lift you up and make you feel valuable again. He will deliver you from the fear of rejection and loneliness. You can’t hide from God, but you can hide in Him.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for encouraging and lifting up. Lord you are my only hope when I am depressed you are there to motivate me when I lost our love ones, family, friends, jobs, position, houses, money and business you are there to comfort me. Lord thank you for everything Lord. I am like lost sparrow but when you lifted me up Lord I regain my strength and I start my new beginning with you Lord. Lord thank you for the new life as you have said in your Word “The moment I find you Lord I found new life and favor from you” (Proverbs 8:35). Lord thank you for your favor in return Lord I will serve you for the rest of my life for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Seminars and make God first place in your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life also.
