Today’s Insight
Do you know how Nehemiah’s team rebuilt the
walls of Jerusalem? With a sword in one hand and a trowel in the other. Why is
that significant? Because even though God gives you the plan, chances are
you’ll have to fight for it. Not everyone wants you to succeed. In fact, some
will do everything they can to stop you. That’s when you must constantly remind
yourself that God gave you the plan, that He’s on your side, and that if you’re
willing to persevere you’ll win. God guarantees it! Listen to what Nehemiah’s
enemies said about him: “It is reported…you are about to become their king and
have even appointed prophets to make this proclamation about you in Jerusalem:
‘There is a king in Judah!’ Now this report will get back to the king” (Ne
6:6-7 NIV). Nehemiah had to overcome threats and intimidation. He wrote: “They
were scheming to harm me; so I sent messengers to them with this reply: ‘I’m
carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while
I leave it to go down to you?’” (Neh 6:2-3 NIV). Every minute devoted to your
critics is time stolen from your God-given assignment.
The seventh lesson we learn is:
Don’t step down to their level! It’s not what your enemies say that matters, it’s what you say to yourself when your enemies get
through talking. “[Nehemiah] answered them by saying, ‘The God of heaven will give
us success…but as for you, you will have no share in Jerusalem or any claim…to
it’” (Ne 2:20 NIV). Now that’s the winning attitude!
Application
The question to ask for today is will you give up on God's plan to what you started or will you continue His plan? knowing that God is in our
side not only he was in our side yesterday or today but all the time up to
eternity he is watching us and supporting us for whatever resources we need so
that the plan that He put in our heart will be completed. So don’t give up
against the opposition! As the Bible
says in Isaiah 59:19… So [as
the result of the Messiah’s intervention]…When the enemy shall come in like a
flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come
like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives].
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today. Lord empowers me stand strong in order to
protect the plan that you put in my heart. Lord I ask you to continue to give
me strength and wisdom in all my undertakings with your plan that I would be
successful and carry it up to finish line. Lord I believe that You are in my
side protecting me against the enemy who is trying to stop me not to forward your
plan into my life but you oh Lord I believe that you are the one who go always with
me as I carry your plan and as I serve you for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you
into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior, In Jesus Name! Amen. If you mean
that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s
Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but
you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order for you to
grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1.
Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4.
Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Seminars and make God first place in
your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others
that they may receive Eternal Life also.
