Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE IN A CENTER OF A STORM?

‘The disciples were in trouble far away from land’ Matthew 14:24 NLT

Today’s Insight

Jonah, James, John, Jeremiah, Jesus… Ok so your name doesn’t have to begin with a J to be caught up in a storm – you might be in one right now. The thing about extreme weather is… it’s extreme! Storms don’t email you their schedule. They’re brutal, relentless and can leave you a quivering wreck.

But there is a lifeline. When the waves of life smash you in the face, you can cling on to the words of Jeremiah: ‘The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion”, says my soul, therefore I will hope in Him’ (Lamentations 3:21-24 NRS).

Here are five key truths that can give you the breath you need:

1) There’s no end to Gods love for you.
2) His mercies keep coming; you just need to see them!
3) In fact, He stacks up a load of new mercy for you every day!
4) He’s more committed to you than anyone ever could be.
5) The Lord God Himself is your needs-meeter. God is sovereign and He’s looking at your life from a much greater perspective than any satellite. Allow your current circumstances to build your trust in Him.

So what now? Take comfort from Romans 8:26-28, then Philippians 4:11-13. Write them out and keep them close at hand to read through when you’re most vulnerable.

Parallel Verses: Num 4:34 – 6:27, Matt 10:11-20, Ps 104:24-35, Pr 3:11-12
