STOP CONTROLLING EVERYTHING (PART-2)
“My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2Co 12:9 NKJV
Today’s Insight
If you find that you are overly controlling, try doing these three things:
(1) Rather than dreading your helplessness, embrace it as a place of strength. It positions you to experience God’s power. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Let go, and let God!
(2) Be quick to express your helplessness to God. King Jehoshaphat realized that his forces were no match for three invading armies. So he prayed: “O our God …we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2Ch 20:12 NKJV). How does his story end? Miraculously! The invading armies destroyed each other and Jehoshaphat’s army didn’t have to fight at all. Your biggest miracles will happen when you feel the least able, and trust God to intervene.
(3) Meditate on Scriptures that speak about the sovereignty of God and the futility of trying to control life. “Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say” (Pr 16:33 TM). “We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails” (Pr 19:21 TM). “He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can stop him or say to him, ’What do you mean by doing these things?’” (Da 4:35 NLT).
Application
“For he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan” (Eph 1:11 NLT). Relax and start trusting God—He knows what He’s doing and He has your best interests at heart.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for giving me insight not to control everything for I will be exhausted but to entrust to you everything. Lord I trust that you are in control of everything and I believe that you bring problems in front of me it will not overwhelms me but you are there to give me strength and go with me through these trials. Lord for the things to do in front of me I will do my best and for those that I can't control Lord I give to you for I knew that you will do the rest for my own good for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Seminars and make God first place in your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life also.
