Today’s Insight
Here’s the second claim that God has on you. Today,
we’re talking about ‘Calvary’, where Jesus was crucified.
There’s a clever analogy about a father and son.
The father is a judge and his son finds himself on trial in court, guilty as
charged. The father knows his son could never afford to pay. His heart breaks
for him. But he’s also a judge with a job to do – he can’t just turn a blind
eye to the law for the sake of his guilty son. What does the judge do?…
When Christ hung beaten
and bloodied at Calvary, like a man guilty in the dock, God the Judge tore off
His robes and cried, ‘Debt paid!’ ‘The Lord has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west’ (Psalm 103:12 NLT). Justice done. Debt paid.
The value of something is
determined by the price a buyer is willing to pay for it. At Calvary, God was
shouting at us, at me, at you – ‘This is how much I love and value you!’ Your
Creator became your Redeemer. Mankind doesn’t know what it’s here for or
understand itself at all, until it is confronted with this God. Calvary means
that you have value because you belong to God, not because He wanted any sort
of servant, but because He wanted you to have the truest freedom.
Application: Thank God today that your debt of sin has been paid
in full. Start to live in the true freedom purchased for you.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today.
Lord thank you for looking me a price possession that cause your Son our Lord
Jesus to die and sacrifice himself so that he could pay our debt which supposed
to put on us but it was put on him and thank you Lord Jesus because you shout “tetelestie”
Greek word use in commerce fully paid. Lord thank you for giving your life to
us and die so that we can live but you o Lord is most powerful but on the third
day you rise again showing to us that we can resurrect someday when you return
on earth for a second coming and final judgment. Lord thank you for your
unconditional love for us indeed we are your child and you are our Father. Lord
empowers us to act like a child of yours for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord
I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart
as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the
bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16
that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal
Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order to grow in your faith with God
please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible
Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study,
Church Seminars and make God first place in your life with your talents and
finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life
also.
