WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY WITH PRC

Message: HOW BLESSED IS THE MAN

Key Verses: How Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit on the seat of scoffers...(Psalm 1:1-6, NASB)

TODAY'S INSIGHT:

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. (Psalms 1:1-6 NASB)

Psalm 1:1-6

This anonymous wisdom from Psalm stands as a Faithful Door Keeper to the entire Psalter. It reminds those who enter in the righteous behavior and fruitful life are the characteristics of the one who delights in God's law ( v. 1-3) in contrast to the life and destiny of the ungodly, who will perish (v. 5-6). In parallel verses in Mathew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to the destruction, and there are many who enters through it".

There are a lot of people in the world who follow their desires and what the world's are doing ika nga kung ano ang uso ay doon po tayo but the problem is they model those who are ungodly who are doing wicked things because according to them the Bible is not God's word and it is written by human being. I always answer those philosophy ideas of people that you are correct that the Bible is written by Human being but inspired by holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16) at alangan gamitin ng Diyos ang Manok sa pagsusulat tiyak hindi natin maintindihan ang sulat ng manok, while these scriptures are written the talent/skills of the writer still exist but they are inspired by God o write down the Word. If many will continue to follow the world and it's desires they will come to destruction. But in contrast to those who trust the Lord Jesus and His Word the Bible says in 1 John 5:12 "12 The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. Assurely once you love the law of God and you have Jesus in your life surely you have eternal life in the end if you remain faithful to the Lord and His Word.

Psalm 1:1-3

According to Dr. Charles Caldwel Ryrie, Negatively, the righteous man does not believe like, behave like, or belong to the realm of wicked men (v.1). Positively, the Word of God is his hallmark of faith and practice (v.2). Therefore he is spiritually healthy and fruitful (v.3). How blessed in hebrew word in a plural terms which means "Oh, how very happy".

When you start your day by meditating on God's Word and pray everything will come to order even how difficult is your day because you have the Word as your guide and compass that direct your put steps what, when, where, and how you deal with your life for the day. This is the one I fully experienced especially this pandemic. Remember that facing your battles in life and asking a favor from others are not 100% perfect because there are people that will not help you is not because he/she does not belong really to the household of God, but God's put him/her as opposition and that's where you deal positively to shift your faith not on men but on God. Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord (Jeremiah 17:5). Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord (Jeremiah 17:7).

Psalm 1: 4- 6

As continues by Dr. Ryrie on his commentaries, In contrast, the wicked are spiritually dead and guilty before God. As the wind blows away the fragments of straw then the grain is winnowed, so the wicked will not stand acquitted, either in this world or in the world to come. The way in Hebrew word which means lifestyle, desires and ultimate destination.

In Psalm 112:10 - The wicked will see it and be vexed. he will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked will perished.

I have known many people, they were unbelievers and it happened somebody share the gospel tot hem and they knew the Lord and later go astray and became twice wicked as they were but suddenly because of the grace of God they return to God like a prodigal son. Whatever sins or wicked things we did in the sight of God, and if you have desire to comeback to God, His arm are wide open to us as the Bible says (1John1:9-10) "If you confess your sins, God is faithful to forgive you and cleanse you from all (Remember ALL not 99% but 100%) your wickedness because He is faithful. He is not only faithful but he is a merciful and loving God and if you're planning to return to Him again, His arms is wide open to accept you as your son/child again.

When you return to God, He promises you....

Psalm 121:7-8 (NASB)

7 The Lord will [a) protect you from all evil;

He will keep your soul.

8 The Lord will [b] guard your going out and your coming in

From this time and forever.

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Oh God, you are the living God, the God of Israel, the God of all the Apostles, Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers and the Father of our Lord Jesus, You are the same God that whom I worship today and we come before you with a humble heart, You knew my sins and wickedness Lord, and thank you for this message today that we can be blessed and be happy if we only love your Word and obey it. We are protected by your Word and spare us from the wicked persons and thank you for forgiving all our sins and accept us again like a prodigal son/ daughter. Lord thank you for your favor and protection. Even though is covid19 pandemic but we will not afraid oh Lord because you are in control of everything. Lord protect and provide all our needs today. In Jesus Name! Amen!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION:

Lord thank you for this opportunity to hear your Word and I admit Lord that I am a sinner and I repent of all my sins and accept you as my Personal Lord and Savior. Amen,

If you mean that from the bottom of your heart you are now saved as he promised in John 3:16 that if you believe in Him (Jesus) you will receive Eternal Life.

In order for you to grow spiritually follow these steps below;

a. Attend Church service regularly.

b. Attend Bible Study or prayer meeting.

c. Find your gift or ministry in the Church.

d. Witness Christ to others.
