Becoming a good Leader
“Teach the wise, and they will become even wiser.” Pr 9:9 NCV
Today’s Insight
Whether God has called you to be a leader in church, in business, or at home, here are two important principles you must always practice:
(1) Reach for people who stretch you. Solomon said, “Teach the wise, and they will become even wiser.” You can tell a lot about the direction your life is heading by looking at the people with whom you’ve chosen to spend your time and share your ideas. Their values and priorities impact the way you think and act. If they’re positive and dedicated to growth, their values and priorities will encourage you and reinforce your desire to grow. It’s not always comfortable to associate with people who are ahead of you in their growth, but it’s always profitable. So try to cultivate relationships with people who stretch you. And don’t think only in terms of what you can gain; bring something to the table yourself. Remember, you’ve got to make the relationship a win/win, or it won’t last.
(2) Realize there are tradeoffs. As responsibilities increase, rights decrease. In a world where perks and privileges often accompany the climb to success, sometimes little thought is given to the responsibilities of the upward journey. As John D. Rockefeller Jr. once said, “Every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity, an obligation; every possession, a duty.” Jesus bottom-lines leadership in these words: “To whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more” (Lk 12:48 NKJV).
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today. Thank you for training me a Good Leader. Lord thank you for making me realize that Leaders have always obstacles to cross and if I could pass these obstacles it will stretch and sustain me because you are there to support me when I couldn't have to withstand against all of these pressure. Lord you are good and kind who train me for every battles and give me winning edge against my enemies to overcome for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Prayer for Salvation
Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior, In Jesus Name! Amen. If you mean that prayer from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word testified in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order for you to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Training Seminars 4. Attend Church Services Regularly and make God first place in your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life also.
