THE BIBLE HAS ALL THE ANSWERS ABOUT LIFE’S QUESTION

WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY by Bro. RD Custodio

THE BIBLE HAS ALL THE ANSWERS ABOUT LIFE’S QUESTION

“The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul.”Ps 19:7 NLT

Today’s Insight

Worldly success can leave you empty, but here’s something that won’t: “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul.” Have your plans fallen apart? Have you made a mess of your life? Do you need direction? Read this: “The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple” (v. 7 NLT). Have the things you thought would bring you happiness, ended up bringing you misery? Read this: “The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart” (v. 8 NLT). Are you directionless, wondering where to go and what to do with your life? Read this: “The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living” (v. 8 NLT).

The answers you’re seeking are in your Bible. David was a brilliant soldier, a popular king, and a man with access to all the riches anyone could desire. But he discovered these things don’t bring lasting joy. What he found instead is that: “The laws of the Lord are true…They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward to those who obey them” (vv. 9-11 NLT).

Application

What was David’s problem? “How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt” (vv. 12-13 NLT).
What was David’s solution? Reading God’s Word daily, feeding his soul on it, and walking according to its precepts.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today.  Lord thank you for teaching me to always trust your Word just like David because your Word is the lamp to my feet and a guide to my path. You Word is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.  Lord thank you for your Word which correct and train us in righteousness for we believe that your Word will instruct us all the way to our finish line so that we will not go astray or deceived by this world but grounded and become mature by your Word for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Seminars and make God first place in your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life also.

ARE YOU GROWING (Part-3)?

WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY by Bro. RD Custodio

ARE YOU GROWING (Part-3)?

“But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces…many times over.” John 12:25 TM

Today’s Insight

Here are two more areas in which God created you to grow:

(1) Your relationships. Relationally, your languishing self is often troubled. You’re undisciplined in what you say, sometimes reverting to sarcasm, gossip, and flattery. You isolate. You dominate. You attack. You withdraw. Whereas your growing self seeks to bless others. They energize you. You’re able to disclose your thoughts and feelings in a way that invites openness in them. You’re quick to admit your own mistakes, and to freely forgive others.

(2) Your experiences. God grows you because He wants to use you in His plans to redeem His world: That’s why you find Him changing your experiences. Your growing self has a desire to contribute. You live with a sense of calling. Indeed, your inner longing to become all you were meant to be is a tiny echo of God’s longing to begin the new creation. The rabbis spoke of this as tikkun olam—to repair the world. Focused on yourself, your life is as small as a grain of wheat. Given to God, however, it’s as if that grain is planted in rich soil, growing into part of a much bigger project.
Application

Jesus said: “Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces…many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life …as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal” (vv. 24-25 TM).

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today.  Lord thank you for teaching me to prioritize relationship than money or anything else. Lord thank you that you teach us to focus on developing our relationship with you, family, church mates, work mates and friends is the most powerful weapon in order to grow as family of God. Lord not only to nourish our relationship but to remember the lessons on the experiences we have and failed which give us stepping stone to grow because we learned so much when the storms hit us on the bed rock but you are there oh Lord holding us and you did not leave us but you allow us to pass those storms that we may grow strong and lead our life worthy of your calling for your glory In Jesus’ Name.

ARE YOU GROWING (Part-2)?

Tuesday, 10 February 2015

WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY by Bro. RD Custodio

ARE YOU GROWING (Part-2)?

“They will flourish in the courts of our God.” Psalm 92:13 NIV

 Today’s Insight

Inside you there’s a battle between your growing self—the person you were created to be—and your languishing self. “What’s that?” you ask. Your languishing self feels uneasy and discontent. You’re drawn to bad habits like mindlessly watching TV, drinking too much, misusing sex, excessive spending—things designed to temporarily anesthetize pain. Your thoughts automatically drift in the direction of fear and anger. Learning doesn’t feel worthwhile. You think about yourself most of the time.

Whereas growing [thriving, flourishing, blossoming, and prospering] takes place:

(1) In your spirit. You sense you’re beginning to receive ideas and energy from an outside source. And you are. You’re being empowered by God’s Spirit. We talk about being inspired, which literally means “God breathed.” God breathes into you; you come alive and feel like you’ve a purpose for living.

(2) In your mind. Your thoughts are marked by joy and peace. You have a desire to love and to learn. You’re literally being transformed by “the renewing of your mind” (Ro 12:2 NIV).

(3) In your time. You wake each day with a sense of excitement, and you realize you’re never too young to grow.

Application

Mozart was composing brilliant music when he was five. Paul told Timothy, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young” (1Ti 4:12 NIV). You also realize you’re never too old to flourish. Grandma Moses was sixty-nine when she took up painting, and artist Marc Chagall did some of his best work in his nineties. It’s humbling to acknowledge you can’t be anything you want. But once you accept that, and seek to maximize what God created you to be, you start growing.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today.  Lord thank you for Word which inspire me to make my life grow and flourish. Lord I believe that attitude to grow is to established first inside in my mind and spirit. And growing must intentionally practice and spent more time on the aspects that you want to grow. Lord strengthen me to first spiritually and make my relationship grow stronger that I may walk worthy of your calling for your glory In Jesus’ Name.

ARE YOU GROWING (Part-1)?

WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY by Bro. RD Custodio

 ARE YOU GROWING (Part-1)?

“..It is [God] who has made us, and not we ourselves...” Psalm 100:3 NAS

 Today’s Insight

Some of us worry that if we seek to grow spiritually, we will have to become someone we’re not. That’s not how God works. He doesn’t discard your raw material—He redirects it. John Ortberg tells the story of his strong-willed four-year-old Shauna, who was determined to take her tricycle beyond the boundaries her mother had set for her. Her mom said, “Shauna, there’s the tree…and there’s the driveway…you can ride on the sidewalk between [them] but you can’t go past that. If you do you’ll get a spanking. I have to be inside; I’ve got stuff to do. But I’m going to be watching you. Don’t go past either one of those boundaries or you’re going to get a spanking.”

Defiantly Shauna backed up to her mom, pointed to her spanking zone, and said, “Well, you might as well spank me now, because I’ve got places to go.” It probably wouldn’t surprise you to learn that Shauna grew up with formidable leadership capacities and an indomitable drive! And the chances are she will always have them. God doesn’t create something, then throw it away. He creates it, and if there’s a problem He redeems and redirects it.

Application

The Bible says, “It is [God] who has made us, and not we ourselves.” When you “Grow,” you become more you, more like the person God had in mind when He thought you up. Yes, you’ll change in the process. You’ll become a “new creation” (2Co 5:17 NKJV). But “new” doesn’t mean completely different; it’s more like a piece of furniture that gets restored to its intended beauty.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today.  Lord thank you for giving us time to grow and think ourselves for improvement and innovation. Lord teaches us to learn the pass mistakes that I made especially when I disobeyed my parents and provoke them against their good advises which I believe their advises are for my own good. Lord allows your Holy Spirt to teach that I may to learn and become matured and focus on the growth of my spiritual life and even my profession and service to your Kingdom so that you will be pleased Lord for your glory In Jesus’ Name.

BE CAREFUL OF HOW YOU LIVE FOR YOU ARE THE BIBLE

WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY with Bro. RD Custodio

BE CAREFUL OF HOW YOU LIVE FOR YOU ARE THE BIBLE

“Let your light so shine before men.” Mathew 5:16 NKJV

Today’s Insight

A reporter once said to Joe DiMaggio, the famous baseball player, “You always seem to play with the same intensity. You run out every grounder and race after every fly ball, even when the Yankees have a big lead in the pennant race and there’s nothing on the line. How come?” DiMaggio replied, “I always remind myself that there might be someone in the stands who never saw me play before.” That’s the kind of unselfish mindset you must maintain in order to influence others for good and for God. It takes energy and intentionality, whether one-on-one or in a group, but it pays dividends.

Nicodemus, a Jewish leader, was drawn to Christ because he’d listened to His teachings and observed His works from afar. He may have come to Jesus at night to avoid ridicule, but the fact is, he came because he couldn’t stay away! (See John 3:1-21). The Bible says you’re “a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you” (2Corinthians 3:2 TM).

Application

Today someone is watching how you handle problems; how you treat your family and your employees; how you act when the boss isn’t around; how you respond to criticism or temptation. Don’t disappoint them. Jesus said: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Mt 5:14-16 NKJV).

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today.  Lord thank you for reminding us that we should walk blameless and must be careful on the way we live for people will not see what your Word is written but what our life speaks. Lord empower us by your Holy Spirit to live on the character that you want us to be and show gentleness, slow to anger, self-control and genuine love to others so that they will see your Word through us for your glory In Jesus’ Name.

ATTITUDES OF THOSE WHO GET AND THOSE WHO GIVE

Saturday, 7 February 2015

WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY BY by Bro. Rolly Custodio

ATTITUDES OF THOSE WHO GET AND THOSE WHO GIVE

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35 NKJV

 Today’s Insight

Are you a taker or a giver? If you’re not sure how to answer that question, think about certain TV personalities. Even though they have genuine talent their main motivations are ratings, image, approval, and profits. Check their background. Chances are that the little girl who dressed up like Cinderella and said, “Look at me,” now lives and performs for the approval of the crowd. Or the little boy who shouted, “I’m Tarzan,” now goes around with a sense of entitlement. John writes about a man in the church called Diotrephes, “who loves to have the preeminence” (3Jn v. 9 NKJV).

Leadership coach Dan Reiland observes: “If communicators teach out of need, insecurity, ego, or even responsibility, they’re not giving. The needy person wants praise, something the audience must give. The insecure person wants approval and acceptance, something the audience must give. The egotistical person wants to be lifted up, to be superior and just a little bit better than everyone else, something the audience must give. Even the person motivated by responsibility wants to be recognized as the faithful worker, to be seen as responsible—something the audience must bestow upon them. Many communicators teach in one of these modes all the time and aren’t aware of it.

Application

Then there’s the giver. This person teaches out of love, grace, gratitude, compassion, passion, and the overflow. These are all giving modes. In each of these modes of the heart the audience doesn’t have to give anything—only receive. The teaching then becomes a gift. It fills and renews.” Today, ask God to help you become a giver and not a taker.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today.  Lord thank you for you are our great model who gives His Son first while we were sinners. Father thank you for without giving your son we have no salvation. Lord we believe that giving produces miracle and become rich. While holding our richest produces selfishness in our lives and we become poor. Lord anoints our life to be a give and not a taker for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved.
