Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Take Advantage of the Present
‘The Word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time.’- Jonah 3:1

Today’s Insight

We spend too much of our lives in the junkyard of regret. We focus on what might have been, could have been and should have been. Maybe we think that by replaying it enough we can change the outcome. But we can’t. The only thing you can control is what you do in the present. The more you replay yesterday, the further you get from today’s opportunities. And the further you move from today’s opportunities, the tougher the road back becomes. Opportunities never look as good coming as they do going. And they wait for no one, so you need to be attentive and grab them. They come in many forms, and they can come from any direction. But one thing’s for certain: they can be seen and seized only in the present. Whatever has happened in your life, has happened. And since you can’t undo it no matter how hard you try, wipe the slate clean and go on to what’s next. We all make mistakes.

Jonah’s mistake caused a storm that threatened the lives of everybody around him, and ended up taking him all the way to the bottom. But that’s not the end of his story: ‘From inside the fish Jonah prayed to…God…And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. Then the Word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time’ (Jonah 2:1 & 10-3:1 NIV). He’s a God of second chances—and third, fourth, and fifth ones too! ‘They are new every morning’ (Lamentations 3:23 NIV).

Application

Today is a gift—that’s why it’s called ‘the present’. So repent of the past, seize the present and start living again!

Be Patience To Wait

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio
Be Patience To Wait
‘My times are in Your hand…’ Psalms 31:15

Today’s Insight

The Psalmist writes, ‘…I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand…’ (vv. 14-15 NKJV). As you walk with God you’ll find that you spend more time waiting than you do receiving. And when you receive what you’re waiting for, then you’ll begin waiting for something else! So if you don’t learn to wait with joy, you’ll live in frustration. Paul writes, ‘Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not’ (Galatians 6:9 KJV).

‘Due season’ is when God knows the time is right, not when you think it is. God has a set time for accomplishing things in your life, so you might as well settle down and wait because that’s when it will happen, and not before. God knows what you need, when you need it, and how to get it to you. You ask, ‘And what am I supposed to do while I’m waiting?’ Trust Him!

One Bible teacher writes: ‘God has taught me to keep living the life I now have while I’m waiting for the things that are in my heart to come to pass. We become so intent on trying to give birth to the next thing, that we neither enjoy nor take care of the things at hand. I had a vision from God ten years before I began to see it fulfilled. During those years I believe I missed a lot of joy by trying to give birth outside of God’s timing. Learn to enjoy where you are, while you are waiting to get to where you want to be.’

 Application

God knows what you need, when you need it, and how to get it to you. You ask, ‘And what am I supposed to do while I’m waiting?’ Trust Him!

Be Responsible

Tuesday, 25 November 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Be Responsible
“Don’t try to disclaim responsibility.” Proverbs 24:11 TLB

Today’s Insight

A woman went shopping one day and came home with a very expensive dress. Her budget-conscious husband was very upset and demanded to know what on earth possessed her. “The Devil made me do it,” she replied sweetly. He asked, “Well, why didn’t you say, ‘Get thee behind me, Satan’?” “I did,” she replied. “But he said it looked great from the back as well—so I had to buy it!” Satan is an expert at distorting the truth by getting us to blame circumstances and other people for our mistakes; that way we never have to take responsibility. But as Albert Ellis observed: “The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You don’t blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize you control your own destiny.” Florence Nightingale, hero-nurse of the Crimean War, said, “I attribute my success to one thing: I never gave or took an excuse.” When a winner messes up, they admit they were wrong and ask for forgiveness. When a loser makes a mistake, they immediately look for somebody or something to blame. The Bible says, “Don’t try to disclaim responsibility by saying you didn’t know…God…knows you knew! And he will reward…according to [your] deeds.

 Application

” David constantly prayed about his shortcomings, and his honesty helped make him “a man after [God’s] own heart” (1Sa 13:14). Instead of denying and defending your mistakes, take responsibility, learn from them, and move on. That’s how you grow!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word Today. Lord makes me realize that whatever I do I must take responsibility. Lord I ask you wisdom that before I decide to do something or make crucial decision I should think many time Lord so that I would not commit mistakes and no one will be hurting.  Lord I ask you to give me strength and wisdom that I may continue to walk blameless and being responsible to what I do for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. You Are Included in God’s Will and Testament (Part-1)

Thursday, 13 November 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio
You Are Included in God’s Will and Testament (Part-1)
“The word…which can…give you an inheritance.”     Ac 20:32 NIV

Today’s Insight

Linda Knox was in her eighties when she died of malnutrition in her Chicago apartment. Apparently she’d lost her sight, and her mind had failed. Among her belongings they found $171,000 in uncashed checks, $189,000 in works of art, $400,000 in jewels, and $52,000 in antiques. In all, she had an estate worth $822,000—yet she died alone in poverty. And what’s worse, she’d drawn up a will leaving these things to friends and family members. But she never filed it with the courts and it was never executed, so her beneficiaries were unaware of their inheritance. There’s a lesson here for you. When Christ died and went back to heaven, He left a will. And you are named in it! You say, “Where can I find a copy?” In His Word! You’re an “[heir] of God and a [co-heir] with Christ” (Ro 8:17 NKJV). Once that truth gets down into your soul, your attitude toward reading the Bible will be revolutionized. Instead of spending mindless hours watching TV or surfing the Internet, you’ll start meditating “day and night” in the Scriptures. As a result, you’ll start to “prosper in all that you do” (See Jos 1:8; Ps 1:2-3).

 Application

Now you can understand why David said, “I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love…The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver” (Ps 119:47, 72 NKJV). Peter wrote: “His divine power has given us everything we need for life…he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature” (2Pe 1:3-4 NIV). What more could you ask for?

 Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word  Today. Lord you are amazing your love for me is unconditional because Lord even I am a sinners you have given me a chance to be your child the moments I received as my Lord and Savior. Lord thank you for what you have done and give me the privilege to be one of your heir thus you include my name in your Will and Testament. Lord thank you so much you’re your goodness in which I cherish throughout my life as David says Lord I delight in your commandments and your law is sweeter than honey. Lord thank you for your promises to bring me into heaven because that is your promise to us to put our name Lord and to inherit eternal life for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. Yield on God’s Favor to Handle It

Those who greeted me for my  50 th birthday thank  you so much from the bottom of my heart and God bless you all!-  Bro. Rolly Custodio

Wednesday, 12 November 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio
Yield on God’s Favor to Handle It
“He will empower you with inner strength.”  Eph 3:16 NLT

Today’s Insight

For fifteen years Dr. Robert Schuller’s secretary Lois battled cancer, and for every one of them she served God faithfully. Schuller writes: “I don’t think I ever met anyone more courageous. Some days she was so ill…getting out of bed took all the strength she had! She’d deliberately fall out of bed, walk on her hands and knees to the bathroom, reach for the sink and pull herself up. She’d force herself to get dressed, stumble into the kitchen, drink some water, eat a dry piece of toast, search for her purse, and walk to the door. Perspiration pouring off her forehead, she’d look at her husband and say, ‘Well, Ralph, I think I can make it now.’ Then she’d get into her car and drive to church. She was always there before me, and when I arrived with my usual greeting, ‘Good morning, how are you?’ she’d always smile and say, ‘Great!’ I never knew until after her funeral what she went through…Only God can give you that kind of courage.” The Bible says, “From his…unlimited resources [God] will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.” There are many ways to say it, but none more eloquent than the hymnist Annie Johnson Flint, who put it like this:

Application

“When we have exhausted our store of endurance; when our strength has failed ere the day is half-done; When we reach the end of our hoarded resources our Father’s full giving has only begun. His love has no limit…His grace has no measure…His power no boundary known unto men. For out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.”

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today. Lord empowers me by your Word and strengthens me to continue following you and serving you.  Lord don’t leave me when I am tired or burn out but motivate me to yield in your favor so that I can handle the task  or assignment that you gave to me and to continue to minister to the lost and to inspire them to serve always  for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Meditate and Do things “Above”

Tuesday, 11 November 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Meditate and Do things “Above”
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things”  Col 3:2 NIV

Today’s Insight

Today we’re big on the concept of instant gratification and acquiring more stuff. But “earthly things” lose their appeal once the bill arrives and the interest on your credit cards starts piling up. When that happens, blessings can turn into curses and rob you of the joy of living.

One pastor says: “Materialism doesn’t satisfy because it’s tyrannical, and human beings were born to be free…We find we don’t own the house—the house owns us. We’re married to a mortgage. We become slaves to gadgets and garments. After they’re purchased, delivered and installed, we enjoy a fleeting sense of pleasure, but they still dominate, dictate and demand, ‘Press me, polish me, patch me, paint me, prune me, plaster me!’ We spend our best years and the bulk of our money working for ‘things,’ until… we’ve no time left to pursue life’s really enjoyable avocations: visiting friends, having fun, and going to church…no time to do good deeds, see places, or visit the people who give us the greatest inner joy.

Paul says, ‘Godliness with contentment is great gain’ (1Ti 6:6 NIV). And to experience that contentment you need to count your blessings every day and thank the One who made them all possible.” Jon Walker writes: “Assume there’s an imaginary line dividing what you can see from what you can’t see—the temporal from the eternal.

 Application

Our objective-in-Jesus is to look upon the things ‘above,’ so we can understand that what we see and feel is not a full and accurate measurement of God’s reality…people are eternal beings, and decisions that seem insignificant now, when seen in the fullness of reality, are of eternal significance.”

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today. Lord  helps me to realize that we are living on the temporal things which we don’t own but we are only steward. Lord thank you for teaching me to focus not on the materials things but on the spiritual things which are very important in our life. Lord develop our desire to have more intimate with you and to share our supports and blessings to others and to enjoy our fellowship with others  while serving your Lord for your glory In Jesus’ Name.

Connect into God’s Creativity

Sunday, 09 November 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Connect into God’s Creativity
“He…reveals his thoughts to man.”     Am 4:13 NIV

Today’s Insight

A well-known minister writes: “A while back I bought an interesting flashlight. Before I decided to buy it I asked the saleslady how long the battery would last. ‘As long as you do,’ she replied. ‘What do you mean?’ I queried. ‘You are the battery,’ she explained. ‘There’s no battery inside. You have to pump the handle at the bottom of the flashlight to make it light up.’ I tried it, and sure enough I generated the power needed to make it light up! As soon as I stopped pumping the light went out…If you make the right commitment to an idea but it seems impossible…pray…and keep pumping. Bright ideas will come your way—ideas that come from God” (See Isa 48:17). Albert Einstein said it’s important that we never stop asking questions, or lose our holy curiosity. God’s Word says He “forms the mountains…creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man.” Imagine tapping into the resources of a God Who knows you and can fill your mind with imaginative, inspired, innovative “thoughts.” Jesus knows the mind of God, the plans of God, the will of God, and the purposes of God because He is God. And Paul says, “We understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ” (1Co 2:16 NLT). As Ted Engstrom observes, “Creativity has been built into every one of us. Each of us lives less of the life God intended when we choose not to release the creative powers we possess.

 Application

When you connect/tap into God’s creativity, He helps you see things not as they are, but as they can be. And that can change your life!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today. Lord  helps me to understand that creativity always comes from you and you are the one who gives this gift to me and with faith we can connect with your creativity power. Lord helps me realize that what blessings will come into my life it is come from and you just use our talent to make those things happen or come into reality. Lord let my gift be share to others for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Prayer for Salvation
