Your Faith is the Most Important Ingredient to withstand against any Trials

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Your Faith is the Most Important Ingredient to withstand against any Trials
‘…The message…did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith…’Hebrews 4:2 AMP

Today’s Insight

Ingredients facilitates change in taste; it makes food more delicious! For example, Alka-Seltzer without water has no effervescence, flour without yeast produces no bread, seeds without sunshine means no flowers, blue without yellow means no green, an egg without sperm means no baby, a spark without air produces no flame. Faith makes God’s Word work in your life. Without it, nothing happens. Talking about the Israelites, Paul said, ‘When the good news of deliverance…came to them…the message…did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith.’

Kristin Armstrong says: ‘Without specific ingredients certain results can never be achieved. To make spiritual progress, it’s not enough to read the Bible or listen to sermons. The activating ingredient to understanding is faith. After we hear God’s message, we must act on it…Maybe you’re experiencing bitterness or anger because of a failed relationship and God told you to put those emotions behind you, but you lack the will to do it. Let me encourage you; trust God’s Word and act in faith. His promises will bloom in your life, once you activate your faith.’

Faith is not intellectual assent, or paying lip service to what you read in God’s Word. It’s acting on it, confident that God will do what He promised. There’s a difference between faith and trust. You may believe a chair will hold you, but, only when you sit down and put your full weight on it, are you trusting it. Getting the idea?

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for teaching us to exercise our faith so that we can be an example to our brethren. Amen!

You will know them by their Fruits

Thursday, 26 June 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

You will know them by their Fruits
‘…A tree is known by its fruit.’ Matthew 12:33 NKJV

Today’s Insight

In a letter to George Whitefield, a leader of the Great Awakening, Benjamin Franklin wrote: ‘I can only show my gratitude for those mercies from God, by a readiness to help His other children and my brethren. For I do not think that thanks and compliments, though repeated weekly, can discharge our real obligations to each other, and much less those to our Creator. You will see in this, my notion of good works, that I am far from expecting to merit Heaven by them. By Heaven we understand a state of happiness, infinite in degree and eternal in duration.

I can do nothing to deserve such rewards…The faith you mention certainly has its use in the world. I do not desire to see it diminished, nor would I endeavour to lessen it in any man. But I wish it were more productive of good works than I have generally seen it; I mean real good works; works of kindness, charity, mercy and public spirit; not holiday-keeping, sermon-reading or hearing; performing church ceremonies, or making long prayers filled with flatteries and compliments…The worship of God is a duty; the hearing and reading of sermons may be useful; but if men rest in hearing and praying, as too many do, it is as if a tree should value itself for being watered and putting forth leaves, though it never produce any fruit.’

In aiming to declare that salvation is by grace and not works, never forget that saving faith always produces good works! Faith is the root of salvation. But deeds of generosity and kindness are the fruit of salvation – and ‘a tree is known by its fruit.’

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for being an example to us. Lord thank you for the Godly character that you have shown to us and as we read your Word, truly you are the Lord of Compassion, loving, kindness, faithful, gentle etc.. Lord thank you for your wonderful character and you are amazing Lord. Though you were persecuted but you still show to all sinners the compassion and yet you still pray for them because you have more fruits of Holy Spirit. Lord allows us to inherit your unquestionable character which produces good fruits to be followed as our example. Lord thank you for your goodness and mercy to us. Lord gives us the same character as possessed by Holy Spirit that we may walk blameless for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Teach Them How to Do Fishing

Wednesday, 25 June 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Teach Them How to Do Fishing

‘I will make you fishers of men.’ Matthew 4:19 NKJV

Today’s Insight

We read, ‘Jesus…saw…Simon…and Andrew…casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”‘(Matthew 4:18-19 NKJV)! To follow Christ you must learn how to fish for men and women and then do it!

Max Lucado grew up fishing. He said: ‘We set out…dreaming of…sun. But…next morning the sky was grey, the lake a mountain of white-topped waves…there was no way we could fish…Next day…it was ice! We tried to be cheerful…but I began to notice…Mark had a few personality flaws…Dad was touchy…Nothing like being cooped up with someone to see his real nature! When we awoke the next morning to sleet…we were flat-out grumpy…Mark became even more of a jerk…Dad couldn’t do anything right, and when he announced we were going home, nobody objected…When energy intended for outside is used inside…instead of casting nets, we cast stones.

Instead of helping hands we point accusing fingers. Instead of being fishers of the lost, we become critics of the saved. Rather than helping the hurting, we hurt the helpers. The result? Split churches. Poor testimonies. Broken hearts. Legalistic wars. But when those who are called to fish, fish – they flourish…Nothing unites soldiers like a common task. Leave them inside and they’ll invent things to complain about. The bunks will be too hard, food too cold, leadership too tough. Place those same soldiers in the trench and let them duck a few bullets and a boring barracks will seem like a haven…The next time outside challenges tempt you to stay inside… get out! When those who are called to fish don’t fish, they fight!’

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for giving me an opportunity to serve you in the Ministry of Evangelism. Lord empowers not to stay inside the Church but to go out and share the good news to the Lost. Lord strengthens me that I could share your good news and encourage them to follow you. Lord don’t me in the seating ministry that I could not present to you even one soul but push me Lord to do great things to someone else so that there will be saved and their life be changed as your True follower of yours for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. Crucial Decision Requires Advise from the Wiseman

Tuesday, 24 June 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Crucial Decision Requires Advise from the Wiseman
‘Listen to advice…and…you will be wise…’ Proverbs 19:20 NIV

Today’s Insight

You may be good at what you do. Indeed, you may be better than most, but without the help of others you will never be as good as you could be. You will never reach your highest potential without a good adviser. It’s impossible. Why would a world-class tennis player need a coach, especially one who is not as good on the court as he or she is? AndrĂ© Agassi answered the question this way: ‘Tennis requires subtle adjustments crucial to winning and my coach, Gill, is the best at making them. The older I get, the more valuable he becomes.’ Why is that? Because age and experience don’t necessarily make you better; often they just deepen the rut you’re in.

In life, as in sports, you never reach the point where you don’t need good input. Yet many of us operate under the misguided assumption that because we lead, we don’t need to be led. We make the mistake of measuring ourselves against others instead of our own God-given potential and in the end we never become what we could have been.

Self-evaluation is important, but the evaluation of others is crucial. A good coach measures your performance against your strengths, not somebody else’s. That’s because he or she knows what you’re capable of and they will push you to your limit. And by the way, good coaches are constantly on the scene observing, not back at the office waiting for a report. That’s because they are personally invested in your success; a win for you is a win for them.

Ruth needed Naomi and Timothy needed Paul. Who advises you? I suggest going to your Pastors or Church Elders or Deacons because they are the one knowledgeable of the Word of God.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for giving me an opportunity to receive your blessing today but you oh Lord knows my strength and my weaknesses and Lord give me wisdom to inquire from my Pastors or Elders and Deacons that I would not make mistakes of any decision which is crucial to my life’s quest. Lord helps me to weight every advises which would be related to my present situation and make a crucial decision which will bring me in my future. Lord helps me to make a final decision based on the counsels of my Pastors or Elders and most especially the counsel from your Word. I want to have a decision that will not contradict against your Word so that I am free from every conscience or sins against your commandments for your glory In Jesus’ Name.

Success comes from Decision, Self- Discipline and Determination

Monday, 23 June 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Success comes from Decision, Self- Discipline and Determination
‘It is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.’ James 4:17 NLT

Today’s Insight

Brian Tracy says: ‘There are so many good things you can do, that your ability to decide may be the critical determinant of what you accomplish. If you’re like most people, you’re overwhelmed with too much to do and too little time. Mark Twain once joked that if first thing every morning you eat a frog, you’ll go through the rest of the day knowing that’s the worst that can happen! Your ‘frog’ is the most important task…the one you’re likely to procrastinate on…the one that can have the greatest positive impact…Treat it as a personal challenge…resist the temptation to start with the easier task. If you ‘eat’ it first, it’ll give you energy and momentum for the rest.

Success is determined by the habits you develop. Setting priorities, overcoming procrastination and getting on with the most important task is a mental and physical skill, learnable through practice and repetition until it becomes a permanent part of your behavior. Once it becomes a habit, it’s automatic and easy to do. When you complete a task of any size or importance, you get a surge of energy. It triggers the release of endorphins that give you a natural “high.” The “rush” that follows makes you feel more positive, personable, creative and confident.’

What you put off today, you’ll put off tomorrow and it will carry to the future because it becomes habit of procrastination. Plus, it’s ‘sin to know what you ought to do is right and…not do it.’ Success requires decision, discipline and determination. Make the decision, discipline yourself until it becomes automatic and stay determined until it becomes part of who you are.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for giving me an insight for today on how I succeed in life and through proper or right decision, self-control and redetermination to reach the goal that you set before me. Lord strengthens me to always do the right decision and empowers to move always on the path of my goal so that I will not bit the attitude of procrastination but being determined to reach my plans or goals set by God into my life. Lord continue to mold me and being faithful to whatever assignment that you gave to me that I may walk blameless and being responsible followers for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Lord’s Servant must be faithful to God up to the End

Sunday, 22 June 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Lord’s Servant must be faithful to God up to the End
‘…I do not seek My own will, but the will of the Father.’ John 5:30 NKJV

Today’s Insight

In His dealings with people, the Bible says of Christ: ‘Having loved His own…He loved them unto the end’ (John 13:1 KJV). And when it came to His dealings with God, He could say, ‘I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me’ (John 5:30 NKJV).

Can God count on you? Can others? When you make a commitment, do you keep it? Do you quit on a whim, or break your word because you get a better offer? ‘In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered’ (Acts 9:10 NIV). God knew where to find Ananias. Does He know where to find you?

Pastor Eric Hulstrand was preaching one Sunday when an elderly woman, Mary, fainted and struck her head on the end of the pew. They called for an ambulance and, as they put her on the stretcher, she regained consciousness and motioned for her daughter to come near. Everyone thought she was summoning her strength to convey what would be her final words. Her daughter leaned over until her ear was at Mary’s mouth. ‘My offering is in my purse,’ she whispered. God’s work shouldn’t go lacking because you’ve gone on holiday and taken your tithes and offerings with you. ‘Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce’ (Proverbs 3:9 NLT).

Your faithfulness shouldn’t be contingent upon economic conditions, but upon your commitment to Christ. Remember the US Marine Corps motto, ‘Semper Fidelis‘, the Latin for ‘Always Faithful‘.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for you are always faithful to us even we are unfaithful to you in our giving and in serving with you and show to us in order to be a great man of God one must be faithful and not to waive his or her faith regardless of any circumstances comes on our lives. Lord teaches us to be faithful up to the end so that we can be good example to all the youth or children or our disciples that in return for we believe by faith that they would become faithful servants in the future. Lord empowers us and gives us wisdom to train and teach them so that they will grow in the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ and that they may continue to be faithful in serving and in giving their tithes, offering and talents to be used in your Church for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord’s Servant must Obey God Consistently

Saturday, 21 June 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Lord’s Servant must Obey God Consistently
‘I desire to do Your will, my God.’ Psalms 40:8 NIV

Today’s Insight

If you’re upset over giving up your ‘rights’ and ‘privileges’ to serve others, consider what Christ gave up to serve you. ‘…He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death…’ (Philippians 2:8 NKJV). When you’re tempted to remind others of the sacrifices you’ve made, hear Christ’s Words: ‘…When you have done all things which you are commanded, say, “We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do”‘ (Luke 17:10 NKJV).

Have you ever observed a dog that graduated from obedience school? It’s a source of pleasure to its master because it has learned to respond to a word, sometimes even a look. God says, ‘I will guide you with My eye’ (Psalms 32:8NKJV). God wants to bring you to the place where you don’t have to be begged, badgered or browbeaten to serve. One look from Him and you do it without question. As a servant you can’t change your master’s orders!

Dr JR Miller said, ‘It is a great deal easier to do that which God gives us to do, no matter how hard it is, than to face the responsibilities of not doing it.’

God doesn’t want foot-dragging compliance, He wants willing obedience. And when He gets it, He blesses it. ‘If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land’ (Isaiah 1:19 NIV). God’s best is reserved for those who say yes. You ask, ‘How will I know when I arrive at that place?’ Because you’ll be able to say, ‘I desire to do Your will, O my God.’

Related verses: Ezek 20-21, Mark 13:1-11, Ps 48, Pro 14:33-35

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for you amazing acts that you did for us. You obey your Father up to the point of your death. Lord I want that kind of obedient and I want to consistently obey you Lord no matters comes on my way I am willing to obey you Lord. Because I knew that If I obey you Lord you will pour out blessings into my life that I can’t contain you. Lord teaches me to learn that it is better to obey than sacrifice. For I believe that obeying Lord is not by force but through our hearts. Lord strengthens me to obey and willing to submit my life to follow you with your Word all the days of my life for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Prayer for Salvation
