WORD OF HOPE FOR TODAY BY by Bro. Rolly Custodio

START RIGHT IN 2015 BY LEARNING TO FORGIVE, FORGET AND LET IT GO!

“Pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”  Mt 5:44 NKJV

Today’s Insights

I believe that in 2015 before you make a new fresh journey and to start right the first thing you must do is to forgive, forget and let it go those who hurts you and especially forgive yourself because of wrong decisions or past mistakes that you made in life which affects you tremendously for a long time because unforgiving attitude can keep you from moving forward in life. So isn’t it time you got serious about forgiving the one who hurt you? And the things you did mistakes and blame yourself. You say, “But then they’ll have gotten away with it.” They’re not getting away with anything! God is qualified to judge, you’re not. Remember, your critics are making decisions about you based on limited information and your flesh recalling your past mistakes, but God knows the truth and He will deal with your detractors in His own time including your short comings. By trying to defend yourself and prove them wrong and blame yourself because of past mistakes, you’re stepping into territory that belongs exclusively to God. The Bible says: “Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone and especially with yourself...never take revenge to others who did you wrong or don’t do inappropriate action into your life because of bad decisions you made (Ex. Suicide).

Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, ‘I will take revenge; I will pay them back,’ says the Lord. Instead, ‘If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink and If yourself made mistakes respect your body because it is a temple of Holy Spirit it and learn to forgive yourself. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads and in your head too’. Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good” (Ro 12:17-21 NLT).

Application

Satan’s goal is to get you all tied up in knots and steal your peace. Don’t play into his hands! Christ, your example, prayed for those who drove the nails into His hands: “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do…” (Lk 23:34) and forgive ourselves as we forgive others (Mat 6:12). Your enemies may think they’re smart, but often they’re acting in ignorance. Don’t come down to their level by retaliating and don’t uplift your flesh or don’t force yourself  that you can recall your past mistakes to be right but forgive them, forget and let it go.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word today. Lord thank you for reminding us to forgive, forget and let it go those who hurt us and leave us severe paint. Lord today it’s 2015 a New Year and I want to start right in my life that is to forgive those who hurt me and forget the things in the past but let it go. Lord teaches us always to forgive because you are the first who forgive us and you forget all our sins and you remember no more and that we pray Lord that those who hurts us badly we will forgive and the mistakes that I make a wrong I forgive myself and forget what lies behind and reaching forward what lies ahead. Lord thank you that you forgive us and that’s why nothing can stop us to forgive others and to forgive ourselves for your glory In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

There is better and bigger things God prepares for us in 2015!

New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, 31 Dec. 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

There is better and bigger things God prepares for us in 2015!
“The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” Ps 84:11 NLT

Today’s Insight

When God knows something is good for you He says yes, and when it’s not He says no. Why would God say no to you? Maybe the timing is wrong, or He has something better in mind. Gratitude comes when you realize what could have happened, but didn’t because God intervened. Stop trying to break loose from the loving grip of the One who holds you for your own protection. The Bible says: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you…Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act” (Ps 37:4-7 NLT).

Looking back on her life, Billy Graham’s wife, Ruth, said, “If the Lord had said yes to all my prayer requests I’d have married the wrong man—several times.” What you’re so upset about now, you may be thanking God for later. The more spiritually mature you become, the more you begin to see how wise your heavenly Father is, and the more you learn to trust Him. The Psalmist wrote, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Ps 23:1).

Application:
What a picture: God leading you, God feeding you, God protecting you, God watching over you. Like a lifeguard at a beach, in order to save you God will sometimes interrupt your life, risk embarrassing you in front of your friends, and maybe even bruise a rib or two. That’s because He loves you too much to let you drown in the thing you thought was so good for you. Bottom line: God has something better and bigger prepares for us in 2015 we must claim it!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank for your Word today. Lord, thank you so much for your faithfulness to us even we are not faithful in 2014 you are there always to understand us, help and support our need. Lord we are grateful that you let us cross the finished of 2014 and give us a change to land in 2015. Lord you are awesome God and you give us a chance to let our lives taste for another year and we trust you oh Lord that you have better and bigger things that you are preparing for us. Lord we could not fathom and hold these things if  you will not go with us and Lord as we traverse together with our family in 2015 may your wisdom, spirit, love, joy and strength will shower on us as serve and live worthy of your calling to us for your glory. In Jesus Name! Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior, In Jesus Name! Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order for you to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Don’t Procrastinate

Tuesday, 30 Dec. 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Don’t Procrastinate
“Don’t say, ‘Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.” Proverbs 3:28 NLT

Today’s Insight

The Bible says: “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, ‘Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you’” (vv. 27-28 NLT). Procrastination is deceptive. You don’t think of it as disobedience, because you intend to obey God. It’s just that you’re going to do it…when you have more money, when you’re not so busy, when the holidays are over, when the kids go back to school, etc. Before God gives you an increase, He observes what you do with what you’ve already got.

For example, there’s no point asking Him to give you more money so you can bless others, if you’re not blessing people with what He’s already given you.

You say, “But I don’t have much at the moment.” It’s not just about money. Are you capable of speaking a word of encouragement, or giving an hour of your time, or going out of your way to help someone in need? When God tells you to do something, He wants you to do it on His schedule, not yours. “Jesus said to another, ‘Follow me.’ He said, ‘Certainly, but first excuse me for a couple of days, please. I have to make arrangements for my father’s funeral.’ Jesus refused…Then another said, ‘I’m ready to follow you, Master, but first excuse me while I get things straightened out at home.

Application:
Jesus said, ‘No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day’” (Lk 9:59-62 TM). The result of delayed obedience is lost opportunity. So do it now!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank for your Word today. Lord, strengthen me to make wise decision and to act immediately according to your instruction. Lord open my heart to be sensitive with the needs of others that I may invest in your Kingdom by helping them materially and encourage them and pray for them regularly for their victory because I believe Lord that you hear our prayer and you meet always our need in your perfect time. Lord empowers me to response to help those who are in need desperately so that they will see your love through me being your instrument to do good works for your glory.

Growing in the Combat Zone (Part-3)

Monday, 29 Dec. 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Growing in the Combat Zone (Part-3)
“God’s Spirit, who is in you, is greater than the devil, who is in the world.” 1Jn 4:4 NCV

Today’s Insight

The third lesson that we learn is;

The attack from Satan. We either trivialize or exaggerate Satan’s power, and each spells trouble! The first makes you feel vulnerable; the second creates in you an unfounded fear. Understanding Satan’s ways—and your weapons—equips you to handle his attacks and resist him. How can you do that?

(1) By understanding that God effectively destroyed Satan’s power through Christ’s victory at the cross. “He stripped the rulers and authorities of their power and made a public spectacle of them as he celebrated his victory in Christ” (Col 2:15 GWT). Satan’s attempt to destroy Jesus backfired in a glorious defeat that allows you to celebrate your victory in Christ!

(2) By understanding that “God's Spirit, who is in you, is greater than the devil, who is in the world.” No power is greater than the Spirit of God Who lives within you. If you abide in Christ, Satan can’t control or conquer you (See Jn 15:7). Why? Because he would have to overcome Jesus to do it!

(3) By understanding that you can defeat Satan because Jesus has “given you authority over all the power of the enemy”(Lk 10:19 NLT). The criminal must submit to the police officer because the officer is vested with and backed up by the full authority of the law. So when you draw on the authority God has given you in Christ, Satan has no choice; he must observe the limits you enforce against him. He can do nothing to you without your cooperation, and you don’t have to give it—and Satan hopes you never discover that.

Application:
Satan is very real because as of today when you see an inappropriate action like; Killing in anywhere, harming you and your family and others destroyed because of vices, family split, frustrations, stress, hopeless etc. all of these are Satan and his demons doing these acts. As believers we don’t have to fear because Jesus has defeated him already 2,014 years ago and let’s celebrate  with his victory, every time the devil reminds you of your past mistakes what you will do remind him that his mistake and his defeat and lastly his destination which is in the lake of fire. As we walk daily continues to pray in spirit and meditating God’s Word so that when Satan attacks you use the Word of God to defense yourself and counter attack him because that is exactly he was retreat when Jesus used the Word of God during their battle and God is reminding us today that the same strategy that we will use against him.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank for your Word today. Lord, thank you for encouraging us to stand strong in our ground against Satan. Thank you for teaching us today about your strategy on how to defeat him. Lord thank you for giving us courage not to fear Satan but to remind him that he is defeated already by you oh Lord. Our trust in you and your Word gives us courage to face him fearlessly. Lord thank you for the victory that you did and this is also our victory. Lord thank you for teaching us to live a victorious life and to walk by faith as we serve you Lord for your glory.

Growing in the Combat Zone (Part-2)

Sunday, 28 Dec. 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Growing in the Combat Zone (Part-2)
“Make no provision for the flesh.” Ro 13:14 NAS

Today’s Insight

The second lesson we learn is;

The attack from the flesh. Your most vulnerable point is your “flesh,” which drives you to do your own thing. Its motto is “It’s all about me!” From start to finish it “looks out for number one,” always wanting to be “first in line.” That’s the genetic makeup of our flesh. And it can’t be saved, sanctified, or spiritualized because “that which is born of the flesh is flesh” (Jn 3:6 NKJV) and nothing else. “The Spirit and your desires are enemies of each other. They are always fighting each other and keeping you from doing what you feel you should” (Gal 5:17 CEV).

So how do you control your “flesh”?

(1) Make a choice. “Choose today whom you will serve” (Jos 24:15 GWT). During the American Civil War thousands of Yankee and Confederate soldiers were killed by “friendly fire.” Why? Because they lacked uniforms that identified the side to which they belonged. Be clear about which side you’re on, and let those around you know it.

(2) Cut the supply lines to the flesh. In war time generals devote a lot of attention to blowing up bridges, highways, and railroads to deprive the enemy of the vital supplies they need to win. Your flesh can’t control you if you cut off its supply line. “Don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires“ (Ro 13:14 NLT).

(3) Maintain regular communication with base command. Even well-trained soldiers with the finest equipment and best officers can’t win when they’re cut off from base command. So stay in touch: “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion” (Eph 6:18 NLT).

Application:
If your flesh is too strong it pulls you away from the things of God. Your spiritual life was overpowered by the flesh. You need to check yourself, Our flesh eat three times a day and likewise our spiritual life should eat also regularly about the foods of Spirit and that is by meditating the Word of God. To put you in a right perspective, our life should never stop praying and meditating the Word of God so that our spiritual life grow stronger than that of the flesh. Our will or soul was dictated by these two aspects; When our Spiritual life is too strong than our flesh then our soul or will follows the spiritual side. So make up your mind to grow spiritually rather than motivated by flesh.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank for your Word Today. Lord, thank you for teaching us that it’s ok to live in this world and not being like them and not mixing or blending with their self-centered nature. Lord teaches us to be the light and salt of the world and to influence the world positively with our Christ like attitude so that we can live more than a better world but living in the rulership of God being one family with God that forgiveness, love, faith, and hope everyone upholds. Lord strengthens me and give me wisdom even I live in this world I will grow in your Word and in the life of prayer for your glory. In Jesus Name! Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior, In Jesus Name! Amen. Growing in the Combat Zone (Part-1)

Saturday, 27 Dec. 2014

Word of Hope for Today by Bro. Rolly Custodio

Growing in the Combat Zone (Part-1)
“Share in the troubles we have like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”2Ti 2:3 NCV

Today’s Insight

Salvation enlists you into the service of Jesus, the King of Kings. His battles become your battles and His strategies your strategies. There are no exemptions; you’re “in for the duration.” Satan has declared war on you, and it’s “conquer or be conquered.” He will attack you on three fronts. Let’s look at each:

1. The attack from the world. Ever feel like you don’t “fit in”? You’re not supposed to! “Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God” (Jas 4:4 NLT). The line has been drawn; there’s no peaceful coexistence in this war. What is “worldliness”? It’s not being in the world, but being like it. It’s not mixing with the world, but blending in with its self-centered values, its “relative” morality, and its attitudes toward God, His cause, His Word, and His people. The world’s hunger for power, popularity and self-promotion contradicts the principles of Scripture. “Genuine religion in the sight of God [is]…refusing to let the world corrupt you” (Jas 1:27 NLT).

Application:
Jesus told us to avoid becoming swept up in the world’s obsession with material things, or its fear of not having enough to meet our needs (See Mt 6:25-34). You are called to be “salt” and “light” (See Mt 5:13-14). You are to be the influencer, not the influenced. When the world can’t tell you apart from them, your light has gone out and your salt has lost its flavor.
