Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Prepare always for the Enemy’s Attack (Part-4)

‘…What saith my Lord unto his servant?’ Joshua 5:14

Today’s Insight

Some issues are so crucial that until you have resolved them you cannot move forward or enjoy God’s blessing in your life. Joshua faced such an issue when he stood before the towering walls of Jericho, the strongest city in the Promised Land and the first that had to be conquered. We read: ‘…When Joshua was by Jericho…he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, there stood a man…with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua…said unto him, “Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?” And he said, “Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, “What saith my lord unto his servant?” And the captain of the Lord’s host said unto Joshua, “Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy.” And Joshua did so’ (vv. 13-15 KJV).

So, what is your Jericho? What’s the one big battle you must win in order to fulfill what God has planned for your life? Some battles can only be won on your knees. Before His victory at the cross, Christ, Who is our example, spent His hardest night in Gethsemane praying, ‘…Not my will, but Thine, be done’ (Luke 22:42 KJV). Are you intimidated by the size of the challenge? Do you think you don’t have what it takes? Does it feel like you have been going round in circles and getting nowhere? Take time out. Get alone with God, and stay in His presence until He gives you His plan. Then say yes to it, and He will empower you.

Parallel Verses: Job 38-39, Mt 2:16-23, Ps 139:13-24 , Ecc 11:7-10

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for giving me wisdom to really seek you Lord and be alone with you. Lord strengthens me and has courage to surrender any precious things in my life that I may walk blameless in your sight. Lord empowers me to trust alone with you whenever I face any enemies for every battle I must stand strong in my faith because I believe that you will send someone to support and lead me into victory for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. It is God’s Word promise in John 3:16 that if you trust His Son Jesus you will not die but you will have Eternal Life. Welcome to the family of God. In order to grow in your faith with God please do these consistently starting today; 1. Pray always 2. Read your Bible Daily 3. Attend Church Services Regularly 4. Attend Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Church Seminars and make God first place in your life with your talents and finances 5. Lastly, witness Jesus to others that they may receive Eternal Life also.

Prepare always for the Enemy’s Attack (Part-3)

‘But Paul shook the snake off…’ Acts 28:5

Today’s Insight

Luke writes: ‘The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold. Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper…fastened itself on his hand. When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, justice has not allowed him to live.” But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god’ (vv. 2-6 NIV).

People’s opinions are often fickle, so here’s a response you need to adopt:

‘Shake it off!’ These people started out thinking Paul was an escaped criminal, and ended up thinking he was a god. Incredible! There is an important lesson here. Beware of those who change their mind about you when your circumstances change.

Build your life on those who believe the best about you, and want to bring it out.
Behind Paul’s spectacular success in ministry you will find people who never stopped believing in him. He writes, ‘Priscilla and Aquila…risked their lives for me…’ (Romans 16:3-4 NIV). He called Epaphroditus ‘…my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier…who ministered to my need’ (Philippians 2:25 NKJV). He says that Onesiphorus ‘…often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains’ (2 Timothy 1:16 NIV). Look for such people; they’ll bless you. And they’re out there!

Parallel Verses: Mt 6:5-15, Mt 26:36-46, Jas 5:13-18 , 1 Th 5:16-18

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for protecting us from any attack of the enemies, though they will bite us but they will not harm us because you are there watching our lives. As you have said in your Word the steps of a righteous man is ordered by the Lord. Thank you that we are not trap by the enemies and they run and could not harm us. Lord thank you that even we are in the mouth of the enemy you will not allow us that will but or swallow us. Thank you for your complete protection and empower us to stand strong in our or your glory.

Prepare always for the Enemy’s Attack (Part-2)

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Prepare always for the Enemy’s Attack (Part-2)

‘…A brother is born for adversity.’ Proverbs 17:17

Today’s Insight

Nehemiah discovered that not everybody will be happy about your success. ‘Sanballat …sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together”…But they thought to do me harm. So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you”? But they sent me this message four times, and I answered them in the same manner’ (Nehemiah 6:2-4 NKJV).

Note the words, ‘I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.’ That could be classified as an Academy Award-winning response to attack! Any time you stop the work God has given you to do and step down to the level of your critics, you’ve sent the devil a signal that his strategy is working. So you can expect more of the same.

Think: if God can deliver you in times of trouble, surely He can defend you in times of misunderstanding! So get back up on the wall He has called you to build and keep working. Don’t get distracted.

There are three kinds of people you will meet in life:

1) The critic. They’re the first to point an accusing finger and the last to extend a helping hand.

2) The cautious. When you’re in trouble they’ll distance you lest they become tainted by your perceived liabilities. These people are not bad, they’re just self-serving. Don’t put your trust in them.

3) The committed. ‘A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.’ Recognize such people and build your life around them because they are a gift from God.

Parallel Verses: Job 35-37, Mt 2:9-15, Ps 139:1-12 , Ecc 11:4-6

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for giving me wisdom how to answer our enemies. Lord empowers me not to give in on their scheme or their plans but allow me to foresight whatever their plans so that Lord I can prepare always for their attack. Lord strengthens me by your Word because having equip with your Word I can learn to answer them in return whatever deceiving words that they can throw. Lord helps me to discern always every spirits that do not belong to you so that I can prepare for any eventualities that will happen in my life. Lord go with me as I serve you for your glory.

Prepare always for Enemy’s Attack (Part-1)

Prepare always for Enemy’s Attack (Part-1)

‘He…ran out of the house.’ Genesis 39:12

Today’s Insight

Observe how some of God’s champions dealt with satan’s attack, so you’ll know how to handle it when it comes. Joseph ran. ‘…Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he refused…“How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.
One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house’ (vv. 6-12 NIV).

Notice the setting for this attack: Joseph was young, single, lonely, and far from home. And Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him ‘day after day’. Giving in to her may actually have helped his career, but Joseph had a very different value system. His character meant more to him than his career. God’s approval meant more to him than the boss’s favour.

After his affair with Bathsheba David wrote, ‘I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes…’ (Psalms 101:3). Whether it’s an affair or an online fantasy, pull your eyes away! Lust is like a tiger; once uncaged it will prowl through your mind and prey on your thoughts. What it won’t do, is willingly go back into its cage. So if you haven’t looked, don’t! If you have, pray for victory and get it out of your life.

Parallel Verses: Job 32-34, Mt 2:1-8, Ps 97 , Ecc 10:20 - 11:3

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for reminding to be vigilant of our enemies. Lord protect us from any attacks of enemy for we trust you Lord as you have said in your Word greater is He that is in me that is in the world. For you are in control of all the events in this world. We entrust you Lord for our lives as you have said Lord for you will protect us from our going out and coming in from our home and you will guard our souls from this time onward and forever. Lord thank you for your wonderful promise. Cover us you precious blood as we serve you for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. FAITH: THINGS HOPED FOR

Saturday, 28 December 2013

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

FAITH: THINGS HOPED FOR

‘Lord, increase our faith’ Luke 17:5 NKJ

Today’s Insight

The Bible says, ‘Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’ (Hebrews 11:1 NKJ). So faith is substantial. Faith isn’t just for the William Wilberforces and Mother Teresas of this world; it’s for ordinary you too.

You use faith every day. You go shopping on the internet – you pay online. Do you get what you ordered right away? No, you get the receipt emailed to you. The receipt is your proof you’ve bought it while you wait for the item to arrive in the mail.

Faith is the same. You pray your prayer and God gives you a word or assurance in your spirit. You might not have received what you asked for yet, but you know Heaven’s postal system is on the job. Your faith is the receipt or the substance you hold onto while you wait. Faith is also evidence. How do you know the online shop is going to honour your purchase? Because you trust. You’ve seen other customers receive their orders. You have evidence that this isn’t some scam.
It’s the same with faith. There is evidence all around the globe that people have their prayers answered. So you continue to trust.

So what now? Ask other Christians for examples of how God has answered their prayers in the past. And how they are still waiting on some promises to be fulfilled. Be encouraged by their faith while they wait.

Parallel Verses: Job 32-34, Matt 2:1-8, Ps 97, Ecc 10:20 – 11:3

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for reaching us and give us faith to consistently follow you and your word. Lord gives us faith that moves mountain and changes our lives for blessing to others. Make us as an instrument of blessing and be faithful children ready to serve and submit our lives for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. THE GREATEST STORY OF ALL TIME?

Friday, 27 December 2013

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

THE GREATEST  STORY OF ALL TIME?

‘The Word became a human and lived among us…’ John 1:14 NCV

Today’s Insight

‘It’s the most wonderful time of the year’ so the seasonal song goes. But shouldn’t it go, ‘It’s the most wonderfully weird time of the year? Just what is going on? Heaven opens up and an untouched teenage Jewish girl becomes pregnant with God. Modern science screams at us: impossible. And then God chooses to grow fingernails and soft elbows in amniotic fluid.

Common sense tells us: unlikely. And angels watched on as God had His soiled nappy changed. Reverence says: Not on my shift. And middle-eastern astrologers spend months crossing deserts on the promise of a light in the sky. Conservatism says: all sounds a bit new age-y to me. A few sheep and their guardians hear about it, but the rest of Bethlehem has no idea. Logic whispers: far-fetched. And within thirty years He’s stretched upon a cross for the things you and I will do wrong in a few thousand years time. How on earth are we expected to buy a tale like this?

And yet look around at any other world religion. Is there any other that tells a story about a loving Father God willing to enter into the mess and do whatever it takes to put it right? ‘Whatever’ is not to do with violence but it’s all about love, mercy, grace, justice, truth and peace. Peace on earth. That’s His message. Not so much ‘Merry Christmas’ as ‘peace on earth’.

So what now? Think about your friends, family and neighbourhood – what small but powerful things could you do to bring peace on earth, and show them that this tale is true.

Parallel Verses: Job 29-31, Luke 2:8-20, Ps 117, Ecc 10:15-19

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you for reaching us even we are sinners you came to earth and live as an ordinary although you are God and die for our sins so that we who have no hope can now have new hope to receive eternal life by faith in you Jesus. Lord thank you for this greatest story of all time and that we believe that this is true and because of what you have done in our lives we who are sinners are now reconciled to God as our Father and because of Jesus we become righteousness as if we did not commit sins because Jesus your righteousness and give us access to heaven so that we can live in heaven forever for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. Wise Men Still Seek Him

Thursday, 26 December 2013

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Wise Men Still Seek Him

‘…Wise men…came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?...”’Matthew 2:1-2

Today’s Insight

Why would someone leave the comfort of their home, travel two thousand miles by camel, brave blistering deserts fraught with highwaymen and hazards, and follow a star to an unfamiliar destination? There’s only one answer: wise men and women have always hungered for God.

It’s said that the three most sought-out words on the Internet today are work, sex and God;

a. Work addresses our need for security;
b. Sex addresses our need for companionship and intimacy;
c. God addresses our need to be forgiven, to experience peace and joy, and understand our life’s purpose on earth.

It’s why primitive tribes who don’t know God make gods out of mountains, trees, and rocks.

Deep down we all have a need to experience something bigger than ourselves; someone capable of loving us, protecting and directing us. When his life fell apart Job cried, ‘Oh, that I knew where I might find Him, that I might come to His seat!’ (Job 23:3 NKJV).

The ancient Greeks had an altar on Mars Hill with the inscription, ‘To the unknown God’. Then Paul told them, ‘…What you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you’ (Acts 17:23 NIV).

The good news of Christmas is, you can seek God and find Him, by coming to know Jesus as your own personal Savior. Hosea called Israel back to God with these words: ‘Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn…’ (Hosea 6:3 NLT).

Parallel Verses: Job 21-23, Lk 2:1-7, Ps 128 , Ecc 10:5-9

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord thank you called and chose me to be your child and ready to serve you as my Father. Thank you that you touch our hearts to seek you first but and not the job or sex. Lord thank you for everything make me as your instrument of blessings to for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. What is the real meaning of Christmas?

Wednesday, 25 December 2013

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

What is the real meaning of Christmas?

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. - Colossians 1:16 (KJV)

Today’s Insight

The answer may just surprise you.

For many, Christmas is the time to think of Jesus Christ as a baby in a manger. While the birth of Christ is a special and miraculous event, it isn't the primary focus. The central truth of the Christmas story is this: the Child of Christmas is God.

God in a Manger

Christmas is not about the Savior's infancy; it is about His deity. The humble birth of Jesus Christ was never intended to conceal the reality that God was being born into the world.
But the modern world's version of Christmas does just that. And consequently for the greater part of humanity, Christmas has no legitimate meaning at all.

I don't suppose anyone can ever fathom what it means for God to be born in a manger. How does one explain the Almighty stooping to become a tiny infant? Our minds cannot begin to understand what was involved in God's becoming man.

Nor can anyone explain how God could become a baby. Yet He did. Without forsaking His divine nature or diminishing His deity, He was born into our world as a tiny infant.

He was fully human, with all the needs and emotions that are common to us all. Yet He was also fully God--all wise and all powerful.

For nearly 2,000 years, debate has been raging about who Jesus really is. Cults and skeptics have offered various explanations. They'll say He is one of many gods, a created being, a high angel, a good teacher, a prophet, and so on. The common thread of all such theories is that they make Jesus less than God. But the biblical evidence is overwhelming that this child in the manger was the incarnation of God.

One passage in particular, written by the apostle Paul, captures the essence of Jesus' divine nature and underscores the truths that make Christmas truly wonderful.

Colossians 1:15-20 says, He is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation. For. . . all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

A Ghostly Illusion?

Paul was writing to the Christians at Colossae. The city was under the influence of what came to be known as gnosticism. Its adherents fancied themselves the only ones who had access to the truth, which they believed was so complex that common people couldn't know it. Among other things, they taught philosophical dualism--the idea that matter is evil and spirit is good. They believed that because God is spirit, He is good, but He could never touch matter, which is evil.

Therefore they also concluded that God couldn't be the creator of the physical universe, because if God made matter, He would be responsible for evil. And they taught that God could never become a man, because as a man He would have to dwell in a body made of evil matter.

Those pre-gnostics explained away the incarnation by saying that Jesus was a good angel whose body was only an illusion. That teaching and others like it pervaded the early church; many of the New Testament epistles specifically refute pre-gnostic ideas. In fact, the apostle John attacked the foundation of gnostic teaching when he wrote "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God" (1 John 4:2).

The apostle Paul refuted that same heresy when he wrote, "By Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things have been created by Him and for Him" (1:16). He specifically affirmed that Jesus is God in the flesh--the Creator of everything.

Like Father, Like Son

Ironically, some of the cults that deny Jesus' deity try to use Colossians 1:15 20 to support their view. They suggest, for example, that the phrase "the image of the invisible God" (v. 15) hints that Jesus was merely a created being who bore the image of God in the same sense as all humanity. But the truth is though we were created in God's likeness, we only resemble Him. Jesus, on the other hand, is God's exact image.

The Greek word translated "image" means a perfect replica, a precise copy, a duplicate. Paul was saying that God Himself is fully manifest in the Person of His Son, who is none other than Jesus Christ. He is the exact image of God. Jesus Himself said, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" (John 14:9).

Hebrews 1 parallels Colossians 1:15-20 at a number of key points. Regarding the statement that Christ is the image of God, for example, Hebrews 1:3 makes an identical affirmation: "He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature." Christ is to God as the warm brilliance of light is to the sun. He brings God from a cosmic location to the very hearts of men and women. He gives light and life. He reveals God's very essence. They cannot be divided, and neither has ever existed without the other--they are one (John 10:30).

Scripture repeatedly says that God is invisible (John 1:18; 5:37; 1 Timothy 1:17; and Colossians 1:15). But through Christ the invisible God has been made visible. God's full likeness is revealed in Him. Colossians 1:19takes the truth a step further: "It was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him." He is not just an outline of God; He is fully God. Colossians 2:9 is even more explicit: "In Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form." Nothing is lacking. No attribute is absent. He is God in the fullest possible sense, the perfect image.

The Rightful Heir

In Colossians 1:15 Paul says Jesus is "the first born of all creation." Those who reject the deity of Christ have made much of that phrase, assuming it means Jesus was a created being. But the word translated "first born" describes Jesus' rank, not His origin. The first-born in a Hebrew family was the heir, the ranking one, the one who had the right of inheritance. And in a royal family, he had the right to rule.

So Christ is the One who inherits all creation and the right to rule over it. It doesn't mean He was born first in order, for He wasn't.

In Psalm 89:27 God says of David, "I also shall make him My first born, the highest of the kings of the earth." There the meaning of "first born" is given in plain language: "the highest of the kings of the earth." That's what first-born means--Christ is "King of kings and Lord of lords" (Revelation 17:16).
Hebrews 1 again has a parallel statement. Verse two says God has appointed His Son "heir of all things." He is the primary One, the Son who has the right to the inheritance, the ranking Person, the Lord of all, heir of all creation.

Creator and King

The claim that "first born" means Christ is a created being completely ignores the context of Colossians 1:15. Remember, you've already seen verses 16 17 explicitly name Him as Creator of everything. Christ is not part of creation; He is the Creator, the very arm of God, active from the beginning in calling the universe and all creatures into existence. John 1:3 says, "All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." That could not be true if He were Himself a created being.

Hebrews 1:2 also identifies Christ as the Creator. Christ was the Person of the Trinity through whom the world was made and for whom it was fashioned.
The size of the universe is incomprehensible.

Who made all that? Some scientists say there was this big explosion that eventually formed a primordial swamp, and ... Science cannot explain it. God created it all.

Always Do What’s Right

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Always Do What’s Right

‘…Hold fast what is good.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:21

Today’s Insight

Someone wrote: ‘Today we mourn the passing of an old friend—common sense. He devoted his service to schools, hospitals and churches; he got jobs done without fanfare and foolishness. For decades, silly rules and frivolous lawsuits didn’t affect him. He cultivated practices like sharing with others, teaching kids spiritual values and living within your means. He survived the Industrial Revolution and the Great Depression. But he couldn’t withstand the ravages of declining moral and spiritual values. He watched as leaders became corrupt and good people became apathetic. He saw the Ten Commandments outlawed in public buildings, prayer banned from the classroom and criminals enjoying more rights than their victims. He watched in despair as teachers who needed parental consent to administer an aspirin, couldn’t tell a parent their child wanted an abortion.

Common sense was predeceased by truth, trust and responsibility. His funeral wasn’t well attended; few realized he had gone!’ In a recent Gallup Poll, 50% of those interviewed said they believe there are ‘no absolutes’ when it comes to good and evil. Look around you and you’ll see the results of that kind of thinking!

But God doesn’t share their opinion. His Word says, ‘Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil’ (vv. 21-22 NKJV). God told Israel not to remove the ancient boundary markers. God establishes boundaries for our protection, blessing and guidance (Proverbs 22:28). So stand up for what’s right and don’t fear criticism. Darkness has never been a friend of light, or wrong a companion of right. Nevertheless, walk in the light and always do what’s right.

Parallel Verses: Jn 14:6-11, Acts 4:8-12, Acts 16:22-34 , Mt 1:18-21

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for training me in righteousness because you are our righteousness. Lord strengthens me to do good work for the sake of your Kingdom and to do the right things for others even the majority is doing in opposite direction by violating your commandments. Lord reminds me to stand strong in holiness that I might not hurt you. Lord thank you that I can do the right things because you are there to support us even the world is opposing me. Lord thank you as you said in your word that we must overcome by good over evil works. Lord helps me to walk blameless and to carry you righteousness that you covered on me for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Sparrows (Part-5)

‘…Your heavenly Father feeds them…’ Matthew 6:26

Today’s Insight

A needy sparrow. Jesus said: ‘Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?…These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need’ (vv. 26-33 NLT). If you need some more scriptural promises to stand on, here they are: ‘Fear the Lord, you His godly people, for those who fear Him will have all they need’ (Psalms 34:9 NLT). ‘Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on the earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house…He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord’ (Psalms 112:1-7 NKJV).

God recorded these promises in His Word so that you could read them over and over, and in reading them, rise above worry and live your life with joy and confidence.

Parallel Verses: Job 18-20, Mt 1:1-17, Ps 47 , Ecc 10:1-4

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for taking care of us and thank you for going with me and my family throughout this year. Lord you are our provide to all our needs according to your richest glory in Christ Jesus. Lord empowers me to walk according to your Word/commandments that I might not stumble or fall as we are moving forward to run our mission and to stand strong against the enemies. Thank you Lord for supplying all our needs. Lord strengthens me now and to trust you always Lord for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Sparrows (Part-4)

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Sparrows (Part-4)

‘…Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.’ Matthew 10:29

Today’s Insight

A fallen sparrow. Jesus said, ‘Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.’ Great news: God knows when you fall, and His will is to lift you up again. Perhaps you were flying high, then you made a mistake. You were sabotaged by a secret struggle you couldn’t share with anyone. Or your trust was devastated by someone you loved. As a result you are afraid to begin again; afraid you can’t overcome your past and rise again to fulfil your destiny.

Regardless of how many times you’ve failed, God still loves you. Have you been attacked in a specific area of your life and it’s become an area of repeated failure? Have you asked yourself, ‘What is this battle about?’ Hear this: the battle is not over your past, it’s over your future! That’s why you are a target. And the God Who gave Peter and Jonah a second chance, will lift you from the ashes of failure and remake your life into something beautiful. God saw you when you fell, so there’s no reason to try and hide from Him. Like the shepherd who went looking for his one lost sheep, God is looking for you today. Not to condemn you but to restore you. Self-exaltation leads to pride, which God hates. But self-loathing leads to paralysis. There’s only one unpardonable sin (Mark 3:22-30, Matthew 12:31-32), so you can go to God with confidence knowing He will give you a fresh start. And this time He will empower you to be strong and succeed.

Parallel Verses: Job 15-17, Lk 1:67-80, Ps 12 , Ecc 9:10-12

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for watching my life when I am falling you catch me as you have said Lord that the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous. Thank you Lord that your eyes are on me and thank you for always reminding me to love and obey your Word. Lord I believe that this difficult season is temporary and I trust your Word that it says endures may last for a night but joy always comes in the morning. Lord thank you for giving many chances of all my poor choices that drag me down because of a hurry decision without consulting you and the elders but this time oh Lord I will always be chose your path so that I will not fall down again but continue running towards you and serving you faithfully for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

THERE YOU ARE!

Saturday, 21 December 2013

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

THERE YOU ARE!

‘… I will give you people for your life’ Isaiah 43:4 NKJ

Today’s Insight

In the movie Hook, Peter Pan has grown up and gotten pudgy. In Never-Never Land nobody recognizes him anymore. A slanging match ensues as all the boys shout, ‘This is not Peter Pan!’ Amidst all the noise, a young, blind boy takes Peter by the hand and pulls him down to his level. Placing his tiny hands on Peter’s face, he touches the skin on his face and for a second glimpses the boy he once knew. ‘There you are, Peter!’ he says. For a moment, the years of worry are gone. And Peter Pan is found once again.

Does that strike a note with you? Perhaps you’re not that old or overweight but you’re not the person people once knew. Maybe there was a time when you couldn’t keep quiet about your faith, but now nobody knows you’re even a Christian. Maybe you used to love being there for people but now you’re far too busy with your own issues. Maybe you used to have a spring in your step but nowadays you walk tired, bogged down with life’s worries. If this is you, God wants to take your face in His hands and say to you, ‘There you are!’ Draw close and He’ll pull back the stresses from your life. Check in with God and you’ll be able to look in the mirror again saying, ‘There you are!’
So what now? Read Isaiah 43:17 (NASB).

17 Who brings forth the chariot and the horse,
The army and the mighty man
(They will lie down together and not rise again;
They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick):

Now read it again. This time insert your name wherever the word ‘you’ is used. Believe that God is personally talking about you.

Parallel Verses: Job 11-14, Luke 1:57-66, Ps 67, Ecc 7:19-22

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for sharing your gentle Spirit with me. Lord give me patience and self-control in my life so that whatever others teasing about me will not prevail. Thank you that every time I encounter problems you send other person to help me and to fill the gap which I did not able to perform. Lord thank you that you work perfectly in my life and you were able to send support to meet my needs to use in the ministry that you want me to perform for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. Sparrows (Part-3)

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Sparrows (Part-3)

‘The sparrow has found a home…a place near your altar…’ Psalm 84:3 NIV

Today’s Insight

A lost sparrow. The hit TV series Lost was about a plane crashing on a remote island and the survivors rebuilding their lives amidst the wreckage. The secret of the show’s success was that we could all relate to it. We’ve lost marriages, businesses, homes, self-worth, security and a lot of other things.
But Jesus came to ‘…seek and to save that which was lost’ (Luke 19:10 AMP). Unlike us, Jesus didn’t see people as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, but as ‘lost’. He knew they’d lost their way, lost their values, lost their relationships, lost their ability to cope, lost their faith, and in some cases lost their reason to live. And He sought them out: like the woman at the well with five divorces and a live-in boyfriend; like the man who lay at the Pool of Bethesda for 38 years, chronically ill, noticed by no one; like Mary who wept at the tomb of the One she loved most.

If you’re lost today, you can have a personal audience with the Lord. ‘The sparrow has found a home…where she may lay her young – even Your altars, O Lord of Hosts…Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You’ (Psalm 84:3-4 NKJV). Today you can ‘come home’ to God! You can build your nest and raise your family in the shelter of His protection. You can feel safe with Him. As you bow in worship, He will lift you up and make you feel valuable again. He will deliver you from the fear of rejection and loneliness. You can’t hide from God, but you can hide in Him.

Parallel Verses: Job 11-14, Luke 1:57-66, Ps 67, Ecc 7:19-22

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for encouraging and lifting up. Lord you are my only hope when I am depressed you are there to motivate me when I lost our love ones, family, friends, jobs, position, houses, money and business you are there to comfort me. Lord thank you for everything Lord. I am like lost sparrow but when you lifted me up Lord I regain my strength and I start my new beginning with you Lord. Lord thank you for the new life as you have said in your Word “The moment I find you Lord I found new life and favor from you” (Proverbs 8:35). Lord thank you for your favor in return Lord I will serve you for the rest of my life for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved. Sparrows (Part-2)

Thursday, 19 December 2013

Word of Hope for Today with Bro. Rolly Custodio

Sparrows (Part-2)

‘I am like…a sparrow alone on the housetop.’ Psalms 102:6-7

Today’s Insight

A lonely sparrow. The Psalmist wrote, ‘I am like…a sparrow alone on the housetop.’ Has your nest been torn apart by a storm? Have you lost your mate? Jesus can relate. His disciples didn’t ‘get Him’. They argued over who would be the greatest. They failed to pray with Him in His most difficult moments. On the cross He cried out, ‘My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?’ (Matthew 27:46 NKJV ). We smile at the story of the single lady who hung a pair of trousers on her bedpost, then sent God a letter: ‘Father in heaven, help me if you can. I’ve hung a pair of trousers here, please fill them with a man.’ Seriously, loneliness can be devastating to your self-worth. Young people wonder if they will ever find the right person to marry. Older people fear ending life all alone.

The God Who knew that Adam was incomplete not only created Eve for him, but actually introduced them and brought them together. And He can do the same for you. If you are widowed, divorced, or never married and want to find a mate, don’t be anxious. God says, ‘I know…where you dwell…’ (Revelation 2:13 NKJV). God knows your name, your address, and every detail about you. And better yet, He cares! And one more thought: sometimes loneliness is not the absence of affection but the absence of direction; not the absence of people but the absence of purpose. So begin to reach out to others. Find a need no one is meeting, pour your life into it and watch how things begin to improve for you.

Parallel Verses: Job 8-10, Lk 1:39-56, Ps 57 , Ecc 7:13-15

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father thank you for your Word today. Lord, I come before you with a humble heart. Lord I thank you for going before me and be there if I need helps. Lord thank you that you remember my name always and that you feel me the importance of our relationship. Lord thanks for your unconditional love. Empowers me Lord to stand strong in my faith and strengthens me to walk by faith and not by sight. Lord I trust you now that I can walk with confident knowing that you are always there for helping us for your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord I admit I am a sinner I repent of all my sins and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior Amen. If you mean that prayer above from the bottom of your heart you are now saved.
